Dr. Shalesh Kumar
Dr. Shalesh Kumar was born and raised in India. He received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree (BDS) in 1999 from M.D. University in Northern India. He practiced dentistry for four years in India before coming to United States in 2003. After finishing his Masters in Microbiology and Immunology from University of Louisville, Dr. Kumar earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from University of California, San Francisco in 2007. In dental school, he was awarded a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his outstanding work for the Community Dental Clinic for the homeless. He has been actively engaged in general dentistry since then.
Dr. Kumar emphasizes preventive and regular dental care for children. His philosophy is “prevention is better than cure,” which is particularly appropriate in regard to dental diseases. He firmly believes that dedicating a few minutes every day to dental hygiene and a proper diet can provide a healthy and lasting smile.
Dr. Kumar is married and has two children. He loves spending time with his family and friends, and also enjoys researching dentistry topics on Google.
Dr. John Wilson was born in Madisonville, KY and earned his bachelors degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington. He then decided to further his education by completing a two-year residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he earned his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. During his training in dental school and residency, he has been able to work with children of all ages in both rural and urban areas. This has allowed him to gain a wide array of valuable clinical skills which includes sedation and hospital dentistry as well as treating patients with special needs. Dr. Wilson strives to educate his patients on prevention and also ensure that both the patient and parent have a great overall dental experience.
Dr. Wilson lives with his wife, Anna Kristin, and their two dogs, Max and Angel. They enjoy traveling to new places and spending time with family and friends. In his free time, Dr. Wilson loves being in the outdoors hunting and fishing.
