Dr. Velmarie Carter is originally from Jamaica, West Indies. She completed her undergraduate studies at Kalamazoo College, where she majored in health sciences. Dr. Carter went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. 

She enjoys working with children and also learning from her patients. Dr. Carter loves to laugh, play the violin, roller skate, play racquetball and salsa dance.
