Dr. Tay “JJ” Hoang’s passion for dentistry began at a young age while growing up in Amarillo, Texas. Inspired by a desire to serve his community and be a positive role model, he pursued a Bachelor of Science degree at Texas Tech University, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas.

He continued to advance his training in the United States Army, where he completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. During his service, Dr. Hoang had the opportunity to travel the world while delivering high-quality, comprehensive dental care to active-duty soldiers and their families. His military career took him to locations including Korea, the Middle East, and Hawaii. While serving, he married and began raising his family. After welcoming three children, he returned to Amarillo to be closer to loved ones.

Throughout his education and career, Dr. Hoang has remained committed to providing exceptional dental care. He goes above and beyond to ensure every patient enjoys a comfortable, positive visit. He values transparency, clear communication, and building strong, trusting relationships—with patient comfort and satisfaction at the heart of his approach.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hoang enjoys riding motorcycles and watching sporting events. His hobbies include fishing, biking, cooking, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and tackling DIY projects.
