Dr. Brent Hurst was born in Louisville, KY and attended DuPont Manual High School. He earned his undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, BS), his graduate degrees (Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Master’s degree in Business Administration, Master’s degree in Oral Biology, MS, MBA and MS, resp.), as well as his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from the University of Louisville. Dr. Hurst worked for five years in general practice before returning to school to complete a two-year postdoctoral Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Louisville. It is quite obvious that Dr. Hurst loves school!

Dr. Hurst is active in the pediatric dental community and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and a member of the Kentucky Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Hurst is also a part-time faculty member at the University of Louisville’s Pediatric Dental Residency Program. Since 2012, Dr. Hurst has worked as a dentist at the Home of the Innocents in Louisville, KY. It is a non-profit organization that assists children that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned, as well as serves as a pediatric convalescent center for children with birth defects and other medical problems.

Dr. Hurst wants your child to enjoy coming to the dentist as much as possible. He prides himself on giving your child every bit of attention and care they need. Dr. Hurst expects a laugh, smile or giggle each time he sees you! If not, he may have to bust out some of his crazy dance moves! That will surely make you laugh!

Dr. Hurst lives in Bullitt County with his wife, Ashley and has three children: Anistyn, Easton and Hudson. Some interesting facts about Dr. Hurst: He has a twin brother, he loves to run, he wears light-up shoes to work everyday as well as silly animal ears, and he can juggle up to four items at a time!
