X-rays are a tool we use to take a better look at how the teeth are developing. X-rays will show if there are spots of decay on the teeth, it gives us a better look between the teeth and they help us see bone density.
To take X-rays, we place a small film in the patients mouth and use a digital x-ray machine to get a good picture of the teeth, above and below the gum line. Digital x-rays are a newer technology that uses significantly less radiation than traditional x-rays do, making them safer and easier to save to patient records.
