Dr. Katherine Nicole Slinker-Rodenberg is originally from a small town in southern Kentucky. She gained a passion for service and education early in life and has dedicated much of her time to service with her church as well as programs such as Special Olympics, Kosair Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, American Heart Association, Children’s Miracle Network, and even started her own self-esteem program for Elementary School-aged girls while in college that lasted five years. She has received several awards for her dedication to community service including Miss Miracle Maker 2008 at the Miss Kentucky pageant.
Dr. Nicole received her undergraduate education from Western Kentucky University where she attained a BS in Biology and minored in Communication Studies. From there, Dr. Nicole attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where she received a DMD degree. While in Dental school, Nicole was able to do an externship in a Pediatric Dental office in Western Kentucky where she advanced her skills in pediatric dentistry. She was very involved in Smile Kentucky and youth dental education programs in Louisville Elementary Schools while in Dental School as well.
In her spare time, Dr. Nicole likes cooking, biking, kayaking, scrapbooking, singing and trying new things. Nicole recently married her amazing husband, Austin, and they adopted two kittens shortly afterward. They love spending time with their family, being active, travelling, and all things Disney! Dr. Nicole believes that preventative care and education are the most important factors for dental health and hopes that each child can have a positive dental experience where fears are alleviated and healthy smiles begin!
